Custom Burn Away Cake

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:

♥To send us your 2 images and text instructions, simply reply to the order confirmation email you'll receive after placing your order.
♥Attach the photo(s) and any specific details you'd like to include. If you would like one of my templates, please include those details.

*For best results, please ensure that you are emailing a clear, high-resolution image.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

♥ 1 Icing Sheet & 1 Wafer Sheet

♥ Wafer Paper Image – the image or message you see on your cake – you will burn this paper.
♥ Icing Paper Image – the image that is hidden and will be revealed after the wafer cake is burned. *If chosen*

SIZE:

♥ Circles: 8″, 7″, 6″ circle. They’re perfect for piping borders or even words across the picture without ruining the topper. If you’re concerned about covering important details close to the edge when piping a border, consider downsizing for more space.

**PLEASE NOTE THESE EDIBLE SHEETS NEED TRIMMING to be placed on cakes. Use clean scissors.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR BURN AWAY CAKES:

♥Peel off the plastic backing from the icing paper topper and gently apply it to the top of a thinly iced cake. Lightly smooth the topper to help secure it to the cake and remove air bubbles.
♥Add a border of icing or buttercream frosting around the edge of the topper which will create a space between the sugar and wafer layers. Make sure to leave enough room for an additional decorative border later. If necessary, apply a second layer to achieve the desired height.
♥Apply the wafer paper topper onto the top of the border, gently tapping the edges to secure it to the icing border.
♥To complete the look, add multiple decorative borders around the original border and the wafer paper topper. This ensures a decorative border above the edges of the wafer paper and will contain the fire within the desired area.
♥Now, the exciting part – light the center of the wafer paper topper using a long lighter.

WHAT ARE ICING SHEETS?

Icing Sheets also referred to as frosting sheets or icing paper are a type of edible paper made with an actual layer of icing that bonds with the icing on your frosted cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and even chocolate. The light vanilla flavor tastes and smells amazing, but does not overpower the flavor of your cake. Icing paper can be used on any type of frosting such as marzipan, fondant, chocolate, buttercream, and ice cream cakes. Images printed on icing sheets are clearer and brighter than on wafer paper. They have a white background.

WHAT IS WAFER PAPER?

Wafer paper, also known as rice paper, is a delicate and semi-translucent edible paper used in cake decorating and confectionery. The paper is often used for creating 3D accents that stand-off a cake, providing a reliable structure for various decorations. Images on wafer sheets are not as sharp or bright as when printed on icing sheets. Wafer paper images have a slight vintage look. Wafer paper generally has a flavorless taste.

WAFER PAPER INGREDIENTS:
Potato Starch, Water, and Vegetable Oil (Sunflower).

*DO NOT refrigerate* Keep edible images sealed in the bag then place them back inside the mailer envelope and store them in a cool dry place, like a closet or pantry, away from direct heat and light.

CAN YOU DO SPECIAL REQUEST DESIGNS?

YES! Anything you can think of can be printed on edible paper! The sky is the limit (for your personal use only).
Each sheet is printed fresh when you order using only high-quality edible ink.

WILL I SEE A PROOF?

To allow for a quick processing time, proofs will be sent ONLY if you request it.

**Please note that the colors in the displayed images may vary depending on your monitor. If you are concerned about exact color matching, please message me ahead of time. It is particularly hard to match bright pink.

DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS FOR LARGE ORDERS?

YES! Whether it's a personal celebration, a business, or a client event, I'm well-equipped to manage large requests. Please send me a message with your request. 

DO YOU OFFER RETURNS?

We take great pride in our products, but unfortunately, we cannot process returns for health reasons and customization. While we strive to match colors as closely as possible, please note that edible inks may not achieve the exact precision and color of photo printing.

If your product arrives damaged at your original shipping address, please notify us within seven days of receiving a damaged order and we will send out a replacement. Forward photographs of the damaged item and be sure to file a claim directly with the shipping provider. It's important to note that we cannot take responsibility for products returned due to an incorrect address, items marked as undeliverable, or those forwarded after the initial delivery attempt.
